It was a good first day at the South Leinster T&F Championships at Waterford RSC on Friday April 27, as three regional titles were secured for the school.
Alex O’Shea reacted well after the long bus journey to quickly secure the Junior Boy’s Triple Jump title, in a new PB 10.93m.
While, the majority of the Senior action takes place on Thursday May 3 with the Intermediates, the Senior 3000m Walk took place and reigning National Silver medallist, Adam McInerney took home the Gold in a new Championship record time of 13mins 57secs.
Later in the afternoon, 2nd Year Runo Ayavoro came through heats to take his place in the final, where he also claimed the Gold.
