This year’s BT Young Scientists & Technology Exhibition saw a notable achievement for students in our school.
TY students Ruairi Mullally and Justin Cunningham won 1st place in the Technology Intermediate Group Category & also received a special award from the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) for their project which converts computer text into Braille.
On their return to school, they explained what their project was about & what the future might hold.
Fintan Lalor, Nibu Rajan & Ben O’Shea also featured prominently with their project ‘Can High Speed Rail be Viable in Ireland’, having Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, FF leader Micheal Martin & Education minister Joe McHugh visit their stall. They also featured on the BTYSTE YouTube Channel: Can High Speed Rail be Viable in Ireland?
