After School Music Programme & Open Mic 2025-2026
Ensemble 1: The Crowd Pleasers
We're a band called ‘The Crowd Pleasers’ created at the After School Music Programme. During the last year we have really learned to appreciate different ideas, to listen to each other when playing and to improve our songs/pieces by working together. We’ve also learned a great deal about teamwork!
All of this wouldn't have been possible without Music Generation Kildare who pushed and challenged us as a team. Because of our teamwork, we played great music, changed how we all performed, and became great friends.
On that note (get it), we also learned a lot about our instruments and each other's instruments as well. We learned how to play different pieces, about rhythms and tempos and lots more. Our Music Generation educators taught us a great deal of this and we couldn't have done it without them.
We have also had some opportunities to perform. The main ones being Open Mics at the school, but we also have some upcoming opportunities this summer outside of school such as the Inclusivity Festival in the Curragh Racing Course and the Riverbank Theatre in Newbridge. Joseph Kildea
