Senior Student Council
Our year began with an introduction to the senior students at their assemblies. At this meeting, we told the student body that we were there to support them and represent their voice. We also met with the Board of Management of the school to bridge the gap between students and management.
We moved on then to our start-of-year Mass, where we introduced ourselves to the entire student cohort and where our school captain, Eoghan Diver, gave some wise words.
During the year, we were proud to organise various civvies days and events, including a seasonal dress-up day for Pieta House during Halloween. Other events that we were involved in varied from helping out at the Christmas Carol Service to stewarding for the very successful 5km run. To prepare for our oral exams, we organised a “Ciorcal Cainte” chun ár nGaeilge a fheabhsú.
We met regularly in Room 14 during our lunch break to discuss any issues and upcoming projects. Every meeting was recorded and reflected on later before we brought these issues to management ourselves.
Our year went swiftly, but we are proud to have represented our school and our beliefs, and we wish the incoming Student Council the best for their year ahead.
